Rehabilitation
We specialize in treating runners. Physical Therapy is a vital component of taking care of those pesky injuries in order to get you across the finish line. We utilize a combination of hands on manual therapy, exercise based treatments, and functional training individualized to you. Whether you have an acute, chronic, or traumatic injury, we can help reduce your symptoms, improve your function, and get you back on the track.

Gait Analysis
We use slow motion video analysis to assess your running technique through observation of markers such as your stride length, foot contact, cadence, and different joint angles. We can use this information in order to address how your mechanics may influence current or chronic injuries. This is valuable in order to implement key changes to reduce your injury rate and improve efficiency through your training cycles.

Lactate Threshold Testing
Your Lactate Threshold determines the upper limit of sustainable training intensity. These results can tell you the pace you are capable of maintaining and be utilized to direct and enhance your training program. This is the best indicator of true fitness levels. You can use this test to adapt your workouts, elevate your lactate threshold, and improve your PR’s.

Strength and stability are important factors regarding injury prevention and performance. We offer functional testing and injury prevention screens to identify and address any impairments you may have. Implementing the information discovered in these sessions into your training can help reduce your injury rate, maintain your health, and improve your performance through your training programs.

We understand the importance of continuous support, motivation, and encouragement. We offer individualized coaching to help you succeed and achieve your athletic aspirations. We create specific training and competition plans to facilitate maximization of your potential.

Strides Run Club
Training for a race or to stay healthy is better with friends. We can help each other have fun and achieve our goals together. We meet in downtown Inman and have optional easy runs, long runs, and track workouts which vary by day. All ability levels welcome and encouraged.

Education
Here at the Strides Running Institute, we value education. We believe in the importance of you knowing as much information as you can about your sport, your mechanics, and performance strategies. We offer lecture series, single presentations, demonstrations, and small group lessons.
